Cloud Network Engineer (CNE)
We are seeking a full time experienced Cloud Network Engineer who will act as a technical
member of the team with overall 6+ years of rich experience in native network and 2+ years
in Software Defined Networking (SDN). Minimum 2 years of hands on experience in
AWS (Amazon Web Services) Networking technologies and/or GCP (Google Cloud
Platform) is must to qualify for this position.
We are not looking for individuals who have only native networking engineering but who
also have experience with networking in Cloud such as with AWS, Azure or GCP.
Responsibilities
1. Design, Configure, maintain and own hybrid Cloud network infrastructure (head
office, branch office, AWS, GCP) by providing both remote and onsite support
through a 24 / 7 on-call rotation to ensure high levels of network uptime.
2. Maintain, troubleshoot, and support switches, firewalls, routers, proxies, WAN
accelerators, wireless, and other networking infrastructure to prevent productivity
and data loss.
3. Troubleshoot and define root causes of network incidents.
4. Participate in development and improvement of architectural strategy, support
strategy, monitoring strategy, including technology standardization of enterprise, and
data center network infrastructures.
5. Maintain cognizance of current industry networking technology and development,
and provide recommendations / solutions as appropriate towards the positive
evolution of Blizzard networking infrastructure.
6. Work directly with security team to ensure highest security standards
implementation.
7. Document and keep current / accurate operational processes, procedures, and
network topology.
8. Mentor and provide technical leadership to less experienced network administrators
by knowledge sharing and cross-training.
9. Suggest improvements to technology solutions and business practices as
recognized.
Requirements
1. A minimum of 6 years’ networking experience in large enterprise environments
2. Experience with AWS Networking technologies namely VPC, Subnet, Direct
Connect, VPC Peering, NAT, Internet Gateway, Availability Zones, Virtual Private
Gateways, Security Groups, ACLs and Route 53
3. Expert knowledge of networking systems, protocols, software and technologies
4. Expert knowledge of Software Define Networking (SDN)
5. Expert understanding of WAN / LAN / DMZ / TCP / IP, DNS, VLANs, etc. in a
distributed environment
6. Experience in MPLS, SDN, VPN, IPsec, L2VPN, SSL-VPN
7. Experience in WAN Optimization using SDN solutions
8. Hands on experience in managing Firewall rules, ACLs, and design of rules in an
enterprise.
9. Expert understanding of WAN technologies - MPLS, DWDM, Metro Ethernet
10. Extensive experience in design, configuration and troubleshooting of OSPF, BGP,
MPLS, VRF's and BGP
11. Extensive experience with Cisco ASA firewall clusters, Palo Alto Network firewalls
12. Extensive experience with Cisco Nexus, 9Ks, 7Ks, 5Ks, 2Ks, 3Ks, VDC’s / VRF’s,
VSS, Catalyst 6500 and access layer switches
13. Proficiency with load balancing technologies (A10, F5, Cisco CSM / CSS / ACE)
14. Experience with Cisco / IronPort Proxy Services
15. Proficient in packet analysis (Clearsight, Wireshark)
16. Experience with monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Prime Infrastructure, etc)
17. Experience with SAN storage technologies including FC, ISCSI, FCOE
18. Knowledge of computer security systems, applications, procedures and techniques
19. Able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive internal information
20. Able to independently analyze problems, research potential technical solutions,
evaluate alternatives, and present recommendations to the leadership team
21. Highly motivated and self-driven, capable of working with little instruction to resolve
demanding tasks, as well as work effectively with internal teams

Pluses
1. A degree in computer science or a related field
2. Network certification (CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE)
3. AWS Solution Architect certification or AWS Sys Ops certification
4. Experience with WAN compression and acceleration
5. Understanding of ITIL framework / processes and Agile methodologies
6. Experience with virtualization: VMware, Cisco UCS, KVM
7. Experience with VXLAN
8. Experience with private cloud networking infrastructure
9. Comfortable with Linux / UNIX / Windows
