Download the file L01A1 - Data File and save it as L01A1 -
LastName_FirstName_Last4Digits(Schoology Number) in your CSAS 030 folder.
Use the column and row headings as a guide in creating the following worksheet.
a. Use Alt + Enter keys in row 1 to enter the column headers on multiple lines.
b. Set the column widths of the following.
Column A: 25 characters
Columns B, D, E and G: 15 characters
Columns C and F: AutoFit Column Width
c. Set the height of row 1 to 35 characters.
Apply an Accounting number format with SAR currency symbol to the ranges B2:B11,
D2:D11, and E2:E11.
Apply Percentage number format to the range F2:F11.
Set a zero decimal place to the ranges B2:B11, D2:D11, and F2:F11.
Insert 2 rows above row 1.
Apply Merge & Center alignment to the range A1:G1. Enter the title “Wheels for the
Asking”, apply Bold font style, and Heading 1 cell style.
Resize the title to 14-pt font size.
Select the column headers, apply Accent1 cell style, Middle Align alignment, and
Center alignment.
Select the ranges A4:B13, D4:E13, and G4:G13, and then apply Increase Indent once.
Select the ranges C4:C13 and F4:F13, apply Align Right alignment, and then Increase
Indent once.
Select the range A3:G13 and apply All Borders style.
Insert a header with your complete name in the left section, section-badge in the
center, and today’s date in the right section.
Insert a footer with the file name in the left section and save all changes to the
workbook.

1. Start Excel, create a new workbook, and save it as L01A2 -
LastName_FirstName_Last4Digits(Schoology Number) in your CSAS 030 folder.
2. Create the following worksheet.
a. Set the column widths of the following.
Column A: 20 characters
Columns B – H: 15 characters
b. Set the height of row 1 to 30 characters.
3. Apply Accounting number format with AED currency symbol to the ranges D2:G8.
4. Set a zero decimal place to the range D2:G8.
5. Insert 3 rows above row 1.
6. Enter the following title and subtitle.
A1: Thuqba Rent-a-Car
A2: Monthly Report
7. Apply Merge & Center alignment to the ranges A1:H1 and A2:G2.
8. Apply Accent 5 cell style, Middle Align and Center alignments, Bold, 14-pt font size to
the title.
9. Select the subtitle, apply Accent 5 cell style, Bold font style, and 12-pt font size.
10. Select the column headers, apply 60%-Accent5 cell style, Middle Align, and Center
alignments.
11. Select the ranges A5:B11 and D5:G11 and then apply Increase Indent once.
12. Select the data in columns C and H, then apply Align Right and Increase Indent twice.
13. Select the range A4:H11 and apply All Borders style.
14. Insert a header with your complete name in the left section, section-badge in the
center, and today’s date in the right section.
15. Insert a footer with the file name in the left section.
16. Save all changes to the workbook.
