Physics Laboratory Report Template

The document provides a model for a teacher's physics laboratory report. It explains that the main objective of a report is for students to express the results of an experiment in a logical and analytical manner. Furthermore, the report is expected to include a description of the experimental procedure, the results obtained, an analysis of these results, conclusions, and bibliographic references. The document also provides details on how to include each of these sections, such as data tables, graphs.

MODEL OF A REPORT
FROM TEACHING PHYSICS LABORATORY
Profesor: Voltaire Fuentes O.

LABORATORY REPORT

OBJECTIVES
The goal of the laboratory is to enable the student to express the narrative in writing.
from an activity organized with logical sequences of a process of

the ability to write ideas focused on concrete thoughts
related to experimentation and that leads him to enrich his
analytical and critical capacity of a study.

c) The report is expected to contain: a description of the or the

applied experimental procedures, the results of the study,
analysis of these, the discussions and conclusions, both of the process, as well as
of the results and finally, the bibliography.

The writing of the report must be such that the reader understands with
ease its content without falling into erroneous interpretations.

INTRODUCTION - THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

This must include a brief explanation of the content (subject) of
studied topic and the relationship it has with the experiment itself.
It is not about making a copy of the content of a text, but rather about
achieve their own writing. This will help the student to
understand the subjects more deeply.
It is relevant to make a proposal of at least at this stage.
a priori hypothesis related to the objectives of the experiment.

PROCEDIMIENTO O DESARROLLO EXPERIMENTAL

Here, the steps followed in the work should be described in detail.
including the material and equipment used, as well as diagrams
and explanatory diagrams.
It is suggestive that each step taken in the development of the work
be numerically highlighted. This will allow to maintain a
logical and chronological order of the activity.

RESULTS
This must contain the calculations, graphs, diagrams, schemes and
explanations that represent the results of the study.

correctly located in organized tables and with the information
Clara. A table of data that contains: order number of the
sequence, the controlled variables with their respective units
and, if applicable, with their power of ten prefixes.
A graph must contain its respective name, the information in
its axes, that is, the names of the variables and their units of
measurement with its prefixes, if applicable.

ANALISIS
These are based on the approaches they can achieve, both
to the procedures, as to the results.

The analysis corresponds to the action of logical thinking of a

activity or result of it, which allows leaving the possibility open of
see it from various perspectives.
clarified the results, that is to say, compare the achievements of the
study with the proposed in the a priori hypothesis.
Involve the actual sources of error that existed and how
influenced the results

CONCLUSIONS
These represent, if not the most important part of a report,
emitting, in addition to showing that they have understood the study and its process,
associate the theory involved with the results.

A conclusion is the concrete and closed statement of a
