How to track the changes in MMR
If we entered the data in MMR wrongly, we can correct the data by using the TC – MM02-
And we can track the changes in MMR – environment – display changes MM03

2. Suppose we forgot to take a view during the creation of MMR , and created Material.
If we don’t have Purchasing view and accounting we can’t create PO
And if we want to add the view to that MMR -we have to use the TC – MM01 only – but not
MM02-Because it is a new View – MM02 is used to change the data of exiting MMR and existing
views only.

MMRs and check in MM60
Note – Before doing the configuration
Prepare the configuration data in a document and start the Process
MMR – Mat code can be either external no or Internal Number
External No means during the creation of MMR we give the
Material name.
Internal No means during the creation of MMR we will not give the
Material name, we leave it blank. In this case ,the system will
generate the material code /name as per the configuration that we
do
Configuration of MMR for Internal contains two steps
1. Configure new mat type
2. Configuration of Number Ranges and assign the number ranges
to Mat Types

And change the mat type code and description

2. Configuration of Number Ranges and assign the number ranges
to Mat Types
SPRO-IMG-Log General -Material Master -Basic settings- Material
Types-Define number ranges for each Mat types

Click groups
In the above click create (marked in yellow)
In the above give Groups code from no range and To no Range
Click save
Click enter
Click back
Locate the newly created group – bottom most ---scroll down
Select the newly created group and scroll up and locate newly
created Mat Type –use Ctrl+F
Double click on Mat type
Click enter
Select the mat type and double click on Element /Group
Scroll down and double click on newly created group-
Then you will see the newly created Mat type is pulled into Group
Scroll down to bottom and chk
And One point – In TC OMS2 for that Mat type remove the check
box selection – External Assignment wo check.
If we try to create MMR by giving material code externally the
system should throw error as given below.
