Q1. What is Internet? Advantages & Disadvantages


Internet: A global network connecting computers to share data and resources.
Advantages: Fast communication, information, online shopping, education.
Disadvantages: Hacking, addiction, fake news, privacy issues.

Q2. History of Internet


Started as ARPANET (1969) → used TCP/IP (1980s) → WWW invented by Tim Berners-Lee
(1990).

Q3. WWW (World Wide Web)


The World Wide Web is a system of interlinked web pages accessed via browsers using HTTP.

Q4. Protocols
TCP/IP – Basic Internet communication
SMTP – Sending emails
HTTP – Viewing web pages
SSH/SCP – Secure login & file transfer
POP3 – Receiving emails
FTP – File transfer

URL: Web address (e.g., [Link]
Parts: Protocol + Domain + Path

Email: Sending digital messages.
