PROMETHEE METHOD
Promethea is one of the determination methods.
order or priority in MCDM (Multi
Criterion Decision Making). The use of PROMETHEE
is to determine and generate decisions
from several alternatives. Promethee functions
to process data, both quantitative data and
qualitative at the same time. Where all data is combined.
become one with the assessment weight that has been
obtained through assessment or survey.
PROMETHEE METHOD
Steps for calculation with
The Prometheus method is as follows:
Determination of alternative values from data
the teacher regarding the criteria that have been
previously established.
Determining the type of preference function and value
preference
Calculation of preference index.
The calculation of preference direction is considered
based on the leaving flow index, entering
flow, then flow.
Advantages of the Promethee Algorithm
In the alternative assembly process will be used
both quantitative and qualitative data. The data
will be combined into one with weight
The assessment obtained through evaluation or
survey conducted with experts
There is DECISION LAB software as a method application
this
GAIA Plane software as a visual Pomethee software
that is very powerful in identifying conflicts
conflict between the criteria and can also
combining alternatives
Disadvantages of the Promethee Algorithm
Requires additional information in the form of
specific preference functions that must
defined / explained.
Unable to handle optimization problems
against the obstacles that are very likely to exist
in the issue of alternative selection
optimal.
EXAMPLE OF APPLICATION:
Problem: you are asked to choose one
between the two houses that you will buy.
Criteria that you use: price, area,
location.
Decision-making process
Comparison process:
The price of house A is much cheaper than house B.
House B is slightly larger than house A.
House B's location is more strategic than House A.
Ranking process:
Ranking 1: House B
Ranking 2: House A
So the decision is to buy house B
Possible results that may occur from the comparison process
between two alternatives a and b can be stated:
the choice occurs when for all criteria, the evaluation score a is higher
greater than or equal to the evaluation value of b and for part of it
criteria evaluation value greater than evaluation value b. Selection
it means that alternative a is better than alternative b.
Abandonment occurs when for all criteria, the evaluation value a
the same as the evaluation value of b. Therefore, both alternatives a or b
same thing.
Relative occurs if alternative a excels in some criteria and
alternative b excels in other criteria. Therefore, alternative a
and alternative b cannot be compared.
THAT'S ALL AND THANK YOU
