Hello everyone!

Decidi fazer esse tutorial depois que eu tive problemas com o meu GPS, ele travava na
initial screen. And I decided to collaborate with those who have the same problem.

My device is a Foston FS-700DT (7" screen), but I believe it will help a lot with
other models...

When the GPS gets stuck on that initial screen, there was some problem with its ROM, or
Windows CE registry, something like that, the only way I found to solve this was
restoring the ROM, installing a generic Firmware.

This firmware reinstalls WindowsCE and a new factory menu...

In the case of other models, one must have a lot of patience to find firmware.
compatible with the device and also the manufacturer menu app regarding the resolution
from the screen (in my case, 7 inches).

Step 1:

First and foremost, it is very important to test the device to see if it will work.
accept the recovery. The off GPS must be connected to the computer via the port
USB, if the battery symbol appears on the screen, indicating that it is in the process of
battery charging will be a good sign for everything to go well, otherwise, I believe that
it could be a hardware problem, damaged USB, motherboard, or something similar, then it's just
technical assistance indeed.

2nd step:

Let's open the GPS very carefully so as not to break any wires or flat cables.

Check the model of the board, this is also important, in my case it is the YG918Dv1.2.

We must put the GPS in flash mode. That is, like the GPS turned off, make a short circuit.
between pins NF and MN and press the power button, but the GPS cannot turn on, if
Connecting means you didn't do the short correctly, I used a small clamp.
See the image of the attached file to understand.
Once this is done, Windows should recognize new hardware and will ask for the driver to install.

You need to download the drive along with the program we will use to send the
firmware files into the gps.
the link is this that I borrowed from a guy named Vebraga from a topic of
another site

or this:

Install the driver for the new hardware in the driver folder inside the unzipped file.
There will be another folder that contains the flash program.

You should also download the ROM file: in my case it was this one (from Vebraga too):

These files also contain a tutorial and how to solve the digital TV problem.
that in the case of the new menu does not have the shortcut. As well as the use of the little program.
flashtool.
Another menu was created, these where there are shortcuts for several browsers, then it was
placed a shortcut for TV.
This menu is completely editable, I personally created mine to my liking based on
next. But that is another case.

Well folks, I'm not going to go into too much detail because the links explain everything.
Below are some more links to assist with the procedures:

This helped me a lot, from YouTube (credit to esmirentot):

Here is the photo of the new menu that appeared on my GPS:

And this is the menu that I enhanced, I made some modifications to a menu from BrunoBL:
Logo that I created when I turned on my GPS:
Well guys, I hope I've helped... the thing is to really have patience, to read carefully the
tutorials, the sites of the links that you all can find. There is a way, I managed to recover mine and
I also placed another initial logo that I created based on one of the tutorials from the links above.

Hugs

PS: If the moderator of this site doesn't mind, there is another topic on another site that
I based this on:
