Summary of the Work
This book tells the story of a young man named
Santiago. Santiago is a young shepherd who travels through the valleys of
Andalusia, with its sheep, and one night he dreams of a
treasure located near the pyramids of Egypt. Firstly,
he ignores this dream and returns to normal life until he meets an old man
king, in the city of Tarifa. The old king speaks to him and tells him to
pursue your personal legend. With that, Santiago sells everything he
he sets out to look for the mysterious treasure. He travels to
Tangier where everything you had was stolen from you due to your weakness
and naivety. Santiago gets a job in a crystal store,
with your presence the store progressed. When you gathered more money,
the boy continued his journey through the desert in search of his
treasure. Upon arriving at the Oasis, Santiago meets Fatima, for whom
falls in love. Near the oasis, he sees an alchemist to whom he asks
help to discover your treasure. The work reveals to us.
for your treasure is where your heart is, and the
the treasure was the journey itself, the discoveries made and the wisdom
acquired.
Most notable character
For me, the most striking character was Santiago because he was
a young pastor who left everything to seek his legend
people.
