Overview of Humanoid Robots

Humanoid robots are robots built to resemble the human body, with a torso, head, two arms and two legs. They have sensors that detect the environment and actuators that allow for movement similar to humans. Some characteristics of humanoid robots include self-maintenance, autonomous learning, avoiding harm, and safe interaction with humans and the environment. Some famous humanoid robots include WABOT-1, NAO, ASIMO, HRP4C, Twenty One, PR2, Darwin OP, Cog, Kismet, ISAC, Sophia, and Rashmi.

Abstract

HUMANOID ROBOT:
A humanoid robot is robot with its body shape built to resemble that of the human body.
A humanoid design might be for functional purposes, such as interacting with human tools and environment, for
experimental purposes, such as the study of bipedal locomotion,or for other [Link] general humaniod robots have
a torso,a head, two arms, two legs, though some forms of humaniod robots may model only part of the body ,for
example, from the waist [Link] humainod robots may also have heads designed to replicate human facial features
such as eyes and [Link] are humaniod robots built to aesthetically resemble humans. Japan,Karel Capek
invented the first humaniod robot.
KEYWORDS:-
Sensors,Actuators,Humaniod locomoiton,Propreoceptive Sensors,
Exteroceptive Sensors,Transhumanism.
. They have sensors and actuators which do the actual work of motion. Sensors detect changes in environment like motion,
heating, change in direction and actuators are the motors responsible for movement. These human robots have a
motion which is close to that of humans. The actuators used are mainly rotary actuators in order to get the human-like
motions.
Introduction:-
• A robot is a mechanical or virtual intelligence agent that can perform tasks automatically or with
guidance, typically by remote [Link] practice a robot is usually an electro-mechanical machine that is
guided by computer and electronic programming.

• Robotics is the branch of technology that deals with the design ,construction ,operation, structural
disposition, manufacture and application of robots and computer system for their control, sensory
feedback, and information processing.
• Robot types : Mobile Robot, Industrial Robot, Service Robots,Humaniod Robot.
Characteristics of Humaniods:-
o Self-maintenance
o Autonomous learning
o Avoiding harmful situations to people, property, and itself
o Safe interacting with human beings and the environment
