INTRODUCTION
• Present day power electronic systems
require multiple dc outputs at different
voltage levels.
• Power converter architectures having
multiple dc ports are used in a wide variety
of applications.
• Converters utilizing a single power stage
and generating more than one isolated
output voltage called multi-output
converters
• Major issues involved in multiple
dedicated converters
o Power flow coordination
o Efficiency
o Higher component
o Size of the circuit
• Basic requirements are small size and high
efficiency.
• High switching frequency is necessary for
achievement of small size.
• If switching frequency increased , switching
loss increased.
• It decrease efficiency of the power supplies.
• Existing multiple-output (MO) converters can be
divided into:
o isolated and non isolated converters
o Many researches have taken place in order to find
isolated multi-output dc-dc converter topologies.
o Isolated converters comprise of more circuit
components and require complex control systems.
o Presents a non-isolated SIMO dc-dc
architecture
• Replace the control switch of a boost converter by series
connected switches.
• provide step-up as well as step-down outputs from a
single dc input.
o Uses lower number of switching elements.
oReduces loss
LITERATURE SURVEY
o Forward converter topology has been widely used.
• simple circuitry
• low output ripple voltage
• high output current capability.
o Drawback is the poor regulation in multiple output
applications.

independently and precisely regulated multiple outputs” IEEE
Trans. Power Electron.,vol. 18, no. 3, pp. 648658, Mar. 2003.
A high efficiency single-input multiple-output dc-dc
converter was proposed.
• It was a coupled inductor based dc-dc converter scheme
utilizes only one power switch with the properties of
soft switching.
• Control associated with the voltage regulation for each
of the outputs is difficult.

o Single input multiple output dc dc converter topologies
provide one step-up and multiple step-down outputs.
• By replacing the control switch of a boost converter
topology with series-connected switches.
• provide step-up as well as step-down outputs from a
single dc input.
• Utilize a lower number of switches.
• High Efficiency.

Input current and output current are continuous.
• So input filter requirements for the converter
are reduced.
• Higher reliability.
