We use forms of the auxiliary verb ‘do’ with the infinitive without ‘to’.

 Do you know Laura? / Where do you live? (present simple question)

 I don’t live in Edinburgh. / I don’t like sport. (negative sentence)

 Does your brother live near you? (third person present simple question)

 She doesn’t like that type of music. (third person negative sentence)

 Did you study here last year? / What did you do last weekend?(past simple question)

 I didn’t study here last year. (past simple negative sentence)
