Exp. No. 1-Crushing 1-Jaw Crusher - Without Videos

The document describes an experiment conducted using a laboratory jaw crusher. The objectives were to study the crusher parts, perform a crushing test, analyze the product size using sieves, and calculate the reduction ratio and capacity. It provides specifications of the laboratory jaw crusher used and describes performing observations on feed size and product size distribution. Calculations are made on reduction ratio, capacity, energy consumption, and particle size distribution parameters. Background information is given on crushers, including types, construction, performance indicators, and parameters affecting performance.

Objectives
The main objectives of this experiment are:
 to study the various parts of Laboratory Jaw Crusher with
special emphasis on their functions,
 to perform a crushing test on a given sample,
 to analyze the product by sieve analysis and
 to calculate its reduction ratio by feed size and product
size measurement, and its capacity and energy
consumption by using mathematical expressions.
