 Is a required non-academic subject offered for all courses of
University of Bohol. It provides experiential activities for
students to effectively imbibe the school’s foundation and to help
them adjust college life through orientations and effective
COURSE learning development. As UB takes pride in having students

 The subject is requisite in preparing students to be well adjusted
persons in order to achieve their goals and aspirations in life.

UB It is the dictum of the University that whoever
embraces the core values of SCHOLARSHIP,
ORIENTATIO CHARACTER and SERVICE shall be led
from darkness to light and unfettered from

 The University of Bohol was originally named
Rafael Palma College after the greatest scholar of
his time, the late Dr. Rafael Palma.
Foundation,  Its history is an account of how a group of public
development and civic spirited citizens of the province of Bohol
and mission ventured to establish an educational institution to

The Bureau of Private Schools granted the first permits for the
pioneer courses. Through the earnest efforts of Atty. Victoriano
D. Tirol, Sr.

and mission granted the Charter for University of Bohol.

Atty. Victoriano D. Tirol, Sr. was installed by
President Carlos P. Garcia (4th President of the
Republic of the Philippines) as the president.
 After becoming a University, it continued to
develop its campus to accommodate a growing
number of students.
 The College of Engineering and Technology had the

The University of Bohol installed its second President, Atty.

applied for accreditation under Philippine Accrediting
Foundation, Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities
(PAASCU) for its core program.

 Dr. Nuevas T. Montes was installed as the fourth president who lead
the University in embracing the challenge of transition. It also took

and ASEAN integration preparedness.
