What is Screencastify
- Is an instructional screen recorder that helps teachers and students stay connected
online
- Teachers can record video messages, demonstrations, and instructional videos with a
few clicks
- Can show what is happening on screen, with options to add a voiceover to
guide students thru assignments
- Teachers can use to create assignments, tutorials and guidance to specific
individuals and grade individual assignments
- Can be integrated with quizzes, projects, homework and sharing ideas
- Provides a medium to make one standard lesson plan for several classes
and make corrections or changes as needed
How Screencastify Works
- As a Google Chrome based browser extension

- You can record a video of anything happening within a Chrome Window
- Records your desktop, like a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation to share
with students
- This program provides a simple extension that is very easy to install and
use on multiple devices
- You will need a webcam to record your face, as well as the screen
recording, which is easily set up

- The platform allows you to record from a webcam
- Whatever you're doing on camera can be captured, like providing a
demonstration to students
- Make it more personal: Show your face in a small window as you speak
to what’s happening on screen
- Allows for file sharing, interactive content share, YouTube Uploading,

- Can provide Viewer Analytics to see who has watched your video, when
and how many times

video-editing tools such as cropping, trimming, splitting and merging
