Introduction :

Web pages are displayed using a program called Web


browser.
A Web server is a computer that delivers Web pages.
 The most popular Web server software is Apache HTTP
Server (Apache).
 The second most popular Webserver is
Microsoft(Internet Information Services) (IIS) for
Windows.
Types of web development :
Front-end development :
 It is used for producing a web applications So that a
User can See and interact with them directly.
 “Client side development”
 “Focuses On visual elements of a website” that user
will interact.
 Technologies : HTML,CSS,JAVASCRIPT.
 Hyper text Means language (HTML) : “ Links that allows
the reader to jump to other place in document”.
 “Mark up language”.
 Code written in note pad (or) text editor with .htm
(or).html extension.
 Cascading Style sheets (CSS) :
 How HTML elements displayed on screen .
 It saves alot of work.
 Responsive layouts(.CSS extension)
 Javascript(.js) :
 It can update both HTML and css.

 It is a scripting language
Back-end developer :
 Def: It goes on behind the scenes of web applications.
 “Server side development”.
 Consists of three parts: Server , Application ,Database.
 User can’t see back end work.
 Technologies : SQL,PHP
 Structured query language(SQL): Manipulates data.
 PHP : Hyper text pre processor.
 Free to execute on server.
Full– Stack developer:

 Def : A full-stack developer is a


developer or engineer who can build
both the front end and the back end of
a website.
 They are knowledgeable in a variety of
technology stacks, programming
languages, and frameworks.
 Increased efficiency.
 Better communication between front-
end and back-end teams.
