Ms word is the processor
developed by Microsoft.
It was first released on
25 October 1983 under the
name “Multi-Tool Word”.
Subsequent versions were
later written for several
other platforms like; iOS,
MacOS etc.
WHERE TO FIND MS WORD?
If you have MS Word or the entire MS
Office package installed on MS
Windows, you can find MS Word in your
Start Menu.
Keep in mind that new computers do not
include MS Word.
It must be purchased and installed
before it can be run on your computer.
If you don’t want (or cannot afford) to
purchase MS Word, you can use a limited
version for free at WWW.OFFICE.COM.
USES OF MS WORD
MS Word allows you to create

of MS Word.

TOO MANY OPTIONS:


Simpler and easier to use the Word processors are
often favored by people who only need the basic
functions of typing and printing out documents.
Feature rich, MS Word can be too complicated just to

EXPENSIVE:
People rarely buy Word on it’s own but opt to buy it
in an Office package along with other applications such as
‘Outlook’ and ‘Excel’. Buying it on its own means shelling
out some big bucks while buying it in an Office package
means to potentially buy applications you won’t use.

PRONE TO VIRUS ATTACK:


Being number one means that Word is installed on
more computers than any Word processor. Consequently ,
MS Word is the target of more viruses and other malware
than just about any other software markets.
