CONCEPTS:
NUMBER:
 A Number is a mathematical object used to count, measure and
label. Ex: 1,2,3,……
 Natural number(N): 0,1,2,3…..or 1,2,3,…..
 Integer number(Z): ….,-4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4..
 Rational number(Q): a/bb where a and b are integers and b is not 0.
 Complex number(C): a+bi where a and b are real numbers and i is
the square root of -1.

SERIES:
 A Series is a sequence of numbers obtained by some particular predefined
rule and applying that predefined rule it is possible to find out the next
term of the series.
 Arithmetic Series: An arithmetic series is one in which successive
numbers are obtained by adding/subtracting a fixed number to the
previous number. EX: 3,5,7,9…
 Geometric Series: A geometric series is one in which each successive
number is obtained by multiplying/dividing a fixed number by the
previous number. EX: 4,8,16,32…
 Series of cubes, squares etc: These series can be formed by squaring or
cubing every successive number. EX: 2,4,16,256..
