Recap: What is a Biography?
A biography is a non-fiction text that tells the true
story of a person’s life. It is written in the third
person and provides key details about the person's
experiences, achievements, and impact on the
world. A biography can cover the entire life of a
person or focus on specific important events.
Features of a Biography
[Link]-person perspective – Uses pronouns like he, she, they (not I or we unless
it's an autobiography).
[Link] order – Events are written in the order they happened.
[Link] – A short paragraph introducing the person and why they are
significant.
[Link] life events – Includes birth, upbringing, achievements, challenges, and
important contributions.
[Link] and timelines – Provides specific dates to show when events happened.
[Link] and evidence – Uses real information, often from sources such as books,
interviews, or articles.
[Link] tone – Written in a factual and informative style, avoiding personal
opinions.
[Link] tense – Since it recounts past events.
[Link] – Sometimes includes things the person said or what others have said
about them.

Roald Dahl (1916–1990) – Children's Author
Introduction:
Roald Dahl was a British author best known for
writing classic children’s books like Charlie and
the Chocolate Factory and Matilda.
Key Life Events:
•Born in Wales in 1916.
•Served as a pilot in World War II before
becoming a writer.
•Wrote many famous books, creating
unforgettable characters such as Willy Wonka
and The BFG.
•His books have been turned into films, plays,
and musicals.
Legacy:
Dahl’s stories continue to be loved by children
all over the world.
Marcus Rashford (1997–present) –
Footballer & Activist
Introduction:
Marcus Rashford is an English footballer
who plays for Manchester United and the
England national team. He is also known
for his work fighting child poverty.
Key Life Events:
•Born in 1997 in Manchester.
•Became a professional footballer at 18.
•Used his platform to campaign for free
school meals for children in need.
•Received an MBE for his charity work.
Legacy:
Rashford has shown that athletes can make

KSI – Triple Threat
KSI – YouTuber, Musician & Entrepreneur
Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, better known as KSI, is a
British YouTuber, musician, boxer, and entrepreneur. He became
famous for his gaming videos and comedy, later expanding into
music, business, and boxing. With millions of fans worldwide, KSI
has built a career based on hard work, determination, and
creativity.
Early Life & YouTube Career
KSI was born on 19th June 1993 in London, England. He
developed an interest in video games and entertainment at a
young age. In 2009, he started a YouTube channel where he
posted videos of himself playing FIFA, often adding humour and
entertaining commentary. His energetic personality quickly
attracted viewers, and his channel grew rapidly.
Over the years, KSI expanded his content beyond gaming,
making challenge videos, comedy sketches, and collaborations
with other YouTubers. He became one of the most-watched
creators on the platform, gaining millions of subscribers.
Music & Boxing Success
Not satisfied with just YouTube, KSI pursued a music career. In 2015, he
released his first songs, and by 2020, his album Dissimulation reached
the UK Top 10. He continued to release hit songs, collaborating with
major artists and performing live concerts.
KSI also made headlines for stepping into the boxing ring. His matches
