Introduction :
Tiny homes and micro-apartments are small living spaces designed to make the most
of limited area while ensuring comfort and easy movement. They consider human
body measurements (anthropometric scale) to create functional layouts with smart
furniture and well-planned interiors, making everyday living efficient and practical.
What is tiny homes :
Tiny houses are small homes under 400 sq. ft., and micro-apartments are compact city
flats under 350 sq. ft.. They use smart layouts, foldable furniture, and vertical storage
to save space. Designed with human scale in mind, they ensure comfortable
movement, proper ceiling height (7-9 ft.), and ergonomic spaces for daily living.
Aim :
The aim of this topic is to analyze the efficiency of tiny homes and micro-apartments
for cost- effective construction, ensuring comfort, functionality through smart design
and human anthropometric scaling.
Objective :
To look at real-life examples of tiny homes, micro-apartments and
modular houses.
To explore ways to design comfortable, space saving homes.
Scope and Limitations :
