• What Are Conditional Sentences?


• Conditional sentences express a condition and
its possible result.
• They often use "if" to introduce the condition.
• Example: If it rains, we will stay home.
Types of Conditionals
• Zero Conditional: General truths or facts.
• If you heat water, it boils.
• First Conditional: Real or likely future situations.
• If you study, you will pass the test.
• Second Conditional: Unreal present or unlikely situations.
• If I were rich, I would travel the world.
• Third Conditional: Unreal past (something that didn’t
happen).
• If you had studied, you would have passed the test.
• Mixed Conditional: Combines two different time frames.

Zero Conditional
