CHECKLIST:
Plug-in all devices (router, switch, AP)
Make sure they are ON (Check Light indicators)
All devices should be working properly

Check UTP Cable color coding before inserting them to the RJ45
Check if the cables are properly inserted into the RJ45
RE-CHECK color coding before proceeding
Crimp the RJ45 using the Crimping Tool
Use the Cable Tester to check the cable configuration
Note: Do not rely on the Tester Completely. Test it also on your station

Connect the Router to the Server
Note: DO NOT connect the ACCESS POINT yet

ROUTER CONFIGURATION:
Reset the router
Access the router’s dashboard using the Server’s browser (Firefox, Opera)
Change the router’s IP ADDRESS (can be given/or not by the Assessor)
• Example: 200.201.5.1, 192.168.1.1 etc.
Change the router’s IP RANGE (up to 10 IP Addresses only)
• Example: 200.201.5.101 to 200.201.5.110 Total of 10 IP Addresses
Save the changes that you made

ROUTER CONFIGURATION:
Change the router’s WIFI SSID to YOURLASTNAME_R
• Example: BRINGAS_R
Save the changes that you made
Note: Router’s WIFI SSID can be given by the Assessor during Assessment

Disconnect the Cable from the Router
Connect the same cable to the Access Point (AP)
Configure the Access Point based on the given specifications
Note:
USE THE SAME CABLE
USE THE ONE GIVEN BY THE ASSESSOR
OTHERWISE USE THE ONE DURING TRAINING

Change the SERVER IP address to static using the following details
• IP Address 200.201.5.102
• Subnet Mask Automatic (Just press TAB)
• Default Gateway 200.201.5.1
• Preferred DNS 200.201.5.1

Change the CLIENT IP address to static using the following details
• IP Address 200.201.5.103
• Subnet Mask Automatic (Just press TAB)
• Default Gateway 200.201.5.1
• Preferred DNS 200.201.5.102 IP Address of Server

TO CHECK IF THE DEVICES ARE CONNECTED
Window Key > Type CMD > Enter
Type ping 200.201.5.1 Check if server can access the router (SERVER)
Type ping 200.201.5.101 Check if server can access the client
(SERVER)
Type ping 200.201.5.103 Check if server can access the AP (SERVER)
Note: DO THE SAME FROM THE CLIENT SIDE

When using the PING command, make sure that you:
Have zero percent (0%) loss
Receive a reply from the target IP Address
Do not receive a host unreachable message
