Terrifying video footage of a sustained attack on a restaurant during the Paris Massacre can be revealed by the Daily Mail today.
The exclusive images show the merciless savagery of an Islamic State assassin and the extraordinary bravery and survival instincts of his intended victims.
They also show the incredible luck of a young woman who would have died had the terrorist's assault rifle not misfired as he held the weapon over her head, giving her a chance to run away.
Police believe her to be the luckiest person to escape with their life during Friday's psychopathic rampage which left 129 people dead and 99 critically injured.
There is also remarkable footage of a 20 year old waitress who ducked under the bar and wrapped her arms around an older, injured woman as the Islamic State gunman who sprayed the restaurant and its outdoor dining area with bullets.
It is the first time any film has been seen of the mayhem caused inside a property targeted by Islamic State six days ago.

Shocking: Extraordinary video of a sustained attack on a restaurant during the Paris Massacre can be revealed by the Daily Mail today. Three CCTV cameras inside the premises recorded the heart-stopping effect as at least 30 bullets came into the premises from the street, leaving the pizzeria engulfed in a blizzard of dust and splintered glass as terrified diners run for cover behind counters and under tables
Killer on CCTV: The gunman is seen in the footage for the first time as he calmly walks towards the restaurant after firing a hail bullets outside
Chilling: The footage also shows the incredible luck of a young woman who would have died had the terrorist's assault rifle not misfired as he held the weapon over her head (circled) as she cowered under a table outside the cafe. He gives up, allowing her to run to safety
The Daily Mail can reveal that the gunman responsible for the attack on the restaurant, which is not being named for security reasons, is believed to be 26-year-old Belgian born Salah Abdeslam
The footage emerged amid reports the mastermind behind the Paris terror plot had been killed in an hour-long firefight with commandos after a raid on a safehouse in the French capital.
Abdelhamid Abaaoud, 27, and his 26-year-old French-born cousin Hasna Aitboulahcen are believed to be the two terrorists who died in a gun and grenade battle which saw 5,000 rounds of ammunition fired by police.
The blonde-haired woman, said to be Aitboulahcen, became Europe's first female suicide bomber when she detonated her explosive vest moments after telling police 'Help me, help me'.
Another jihadi's body was found riddled with bullets when more than 100 armed officers stormed the flat in Saint-Denis believing Abaaoud was inside with six other terrorists, including Salah Abdeslam.
The French authorities have still not confirmed if Abaaoud was there or if he is dead or alive but two European intelligence officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the Washington Post that he had been killed inside the building and identified by forensic experts.
The Daily Mail can reveal that the gunman responsible for the attack on the restaurant, which is not being named for security reasons, is believed to be 26-year-old Belgian born Salah Abdeslam.
The terrorist seen in the footage bears a striking resemblance to Abdeslam, who fled Paris after the attacks and evaded capture after a shocking blunder by police near Franco-Belgian border. He remains at large.
Sources said it was possible a second, as yet unidentified gunman, might have involved in the restaurant attack. He may still be on the run, too.
The pictures come from a chilling collection of CCTV footage, obtained exclusively by the Daily Mail.
Miraculously, none of the diners or staff inside the restaurant died during the attack, which lasted less than a minute, before the gunman is seen climbing into the terrorists' black Seat getaway car.
A man who had just arrived outside the restaurant to collect a pizza was shot in the back and died in the street.
Police are examining the video in their hunt for clues about the identities of the murder gang and to analyse the increasingly violent methods used by Islamic State to carry out mass attacks on innocent civilians.
What is particularly horrifying is the calmness of one of the Islamic State gunmen seen in the film as he stalks the street looking for victims and quits trying to murder a woman cowering under a table outside after his assault rifle malfunctioned.
Two diners suffered minor bullet wounds but nearby another five people, including the man collecting his Pizza, perished in the gun attack. A further eight individuals in the vicinity were seriously injured.
The restaurant is located in Paris's trendy 11th district, which is particularly popular with well-heeled middle class people who work in advertising and the media.
Dozens of flowers have been left outside the restaurant, with harrowing messages to those who lost their lives.
Three CCTV cameras inside the premises recorded the heart-stopping effect as at least 30 bullets came into the premises from the street, leaving the pizzeria engulfed in a blizzard of dust and splintered glass.
Staff ducked behind the bar or made their way upstairs or downstairs to a basement during the commotion.
The injured woman can be seen nursing her arm while a couple hug each other under a table.
The killer, dressed casually in a blue tee shirt, then emerges for the first time and can be seen hunting more victims with his AK47 in hand.
The gunman - who is notably not wearing a suicide vest like the other killers - then disappears for several seconds before emerging at the window of the restaurant.
He can be seen pointing his weapon towards one of two helpless hiding under an outside table. The women, who the Daily Mail has chosen not to name, returned to the scene the following day.
Stared death in the face: The woman heard the gunman's AK-47 go 'click, click, click' as the weapon misfired giving her the chance to escape
THE TIMELINE OF TERROR: Second by second, how the terrifying attack on the Paris cafe unfolded
By Richard Pendlebury
The time is 9.34pm.
It is an unseasonably pleasant evening and some of the restaurant's customers are eating or drinking on the terrace outside. At one table, to the right of the door looking out from the restaurant bar, sits a young woman in a chic trench coat. She is having an al fresco supper with her boyfriend and another male friend.
At the other table on the left side of the door sit the two twenty-something women. All are regulars.
Inside the pizzeria only two tables are occupied at this hour.
At one, beneath a mirror by the main door, another two women can be seen chatting and laughing over drinks. At another table next to a side door a young couple are eating pizzas. The dark haired man has put his quilted jacket over the back of his chair.
Behind the bar two members of staff chat to each other as they work.
One is Samir, a short, bald headed young barman and waiter. He is folding napkins and placing them on the counter.
The other, washing glasses, is Jasmine, the pizzeria's 20-year-old waitress who will shortly become the heroine of this story.
She is a student and has only been in the job for a month. Jasmine is Parisian-born, but her parents hail from Morocco and Algeria; the same ethnic background as the men who even now are in the street outside and are about to shatter this relaxed and scene in a hail of indiscriminate and murderous gunfire.
Just a normal evening: Waitress Jasmine chats to barman Samir as he folds napkins at La Casa Nostra. Just two tables inside and two on the terrace are occupied
9.34 and 8 secs.
From the CCTV camera above the bar you can see the people at the tables outside chatting animatedly. A man, thought to be one of the women's boyfriend, can be seen through the window of the side door. His head is thrown back in laughter. It is the last moment before the horror engulfs them all.
9.34 and 9secs.
The world explodes. The view in all three tapes is suddenly clouded by flying debris as the first volley of automatic fire rips into the restaurant. There is a maelstrom of shattering glass. In the next few seconds the effect of multiple bullet impacts can be seen on the back wall above the bar, close to the main CCTV camera.
Samir's mouth falls open, he and Jasmine clutch each other and instinctively duck behind their counter, the waitress pushing her colleague's head further into cover.
Almost immediately Samir wriggles away and flees down the stairs to the cellar kitchen, Jasmine is left alone, crouched behind the bar.
One of the women sitting at the table under the mirror stands up and cowers with her face to the wall. Her companion flinches and throws herself to the floor. The young man eating pizza has pulled back his chair and dived under his table. His female companion also disappears from sight.
All hell breaks loose: Without warning, the view is clouded by flying debris as a volley of gunfire rips into the restaurant. Samir and Jasmine dive down behind the bar
The firing is relentless: Pushing Samir's head further down, Jasmine cowers as the fusillade continues. The terrified diners can be seen hunched over their tables
Samir crawls to the top of the staircase and runs down the stairs as Jasmine crouches down for cover below the bar area
9.34 and 15-17secs.
The first fugitive from the bloodbath outside bursts through the restaurant door. She has been shot through the wrist.
Bent over and holding her arm the terrified young woman runs across the restaurant dining area and throws herself behind the bar.
CCTV footage shows Jasmine immediately begin to comfort the wounded older woman, cradling her head.

She clutches her wound: Shot in the wrist and holding the bleeding injury, she sprints across the restaurant. Samir is gone, having fled down the stairs into the cellar
A woman, who was shot on the wrist, runs into the cafe and shelters herself behind the bar as the gunman goes on a rampage outside
9.34 and 18secs.
Seconds after the woman, the male friend with whom she and her boyfriend had been dining comes hurdling over an upturned terrace chair and through the door. He is wearing a double-breasted camel coat and glasses.
More bullets can be seen impacting along its frame as he does so, missing him by inches. He is running for his life; how he has not been hit already, like the other two at his table, is a miracle.
He throws himself headlong onto the floor and huddles in a ball at the foot of the bar, in plain view from the street, before running up the stairs of the cafe.
Bullets are still flying: The woman ducks behind the bar as her friend runs in with bullets missing him by inches. To the right, a woman diner has her hands over her ears

9.34 and 20secs.
In the top left of the screen of the CCTV camera behind the bar pointing at the main door one can see the first sign of movement of the ISIS killers. It is a male dressed in pale clothes. He does not appear to be wearing body armour or a suicide vest but he is clearly carrying an AK-47 style assault rifle, carried at waist height. One can see the banana shaped magazine silhouetted against a yellow parked car. Unlike everyone else you see in the film he is calm and moving slowly from left to right across the street outside; unpanicked.
9.34 and 22secs.
The gunman turns around and raises the rifle to his shoulder. He has seen something out of shot and is taking aim.
9.34 and 24secs.
There are more flashes and flying debris as another ripple of automatic fire crashes into the pizzeria.
9.34 and 26secs.
The man thought to be the boyfriend can be seen through the side door raising his head from his hiding place under his table. Where have the gunmen gone? Three seconds later a woman outside can be seen standing up and fleeing up a side street. He follows after her.
9.34 and 27secs.
Jasmine is examining the woman's wound. She puts her arm around her shoulders to comfort and protect the casualty.

9.34 and 29-30secs.
No doubt realising that the position is no hiding place but a death trap, The boyfriend and his girlfriend's friend leap up from the restaurant floor and rush up a spiral staircase to the premises' first floor. He takes the steps two at a time.
As he runs his hands are over his ears. While there is no audio such detail gives a vivid impression of the tremendous noise of the close quarter automatic fire in the street outside.
The young man is a regular and knows the building's layout. That knowledge probably saves his life.
9.34 and 31secs.
The female customer who was cowering under the mirror has slid to the floor and is trying to build a pathetic barricade of furniture and her coat around herself.
For a brief moment you can see her pale, horror stricken face above the table top. She pulls another chair closer.
The female customer who was cowering under the mirror has slid to the floor and is trying to build a pathetic barricade of furniture and her coat around herself
9.34 and 35secs.
The Islamic State gunman reappears in the top left of the screen. Again he is moving calmly from left to right, as seen from the bar's camera. But this time his intent is clear.
He is coming to the pizzeria and is going to stalk and kill the surviving customers. The next seconds are the most extraordinary record of the whole savage episode. The man is holding his rifle down at his waist as he begins to pick his way among the terrace tables and chairs, under which several customers are still sheltering.
9.34 and 39-41 secs.
The gunman is only a few feet from the open main door and looking directly at the CCTV camera. The tension is almost unbearable. Will he enter the pizzeria and find the four customers, cornered in their hopeless hiding places? And what of the two women trapped behind the bar? They cannot move now as he would immediately see them. One is tucked in a foetal position. The other is talking to her and stroking her head. She is very cool.
A killer appears outside: First sight of the gunman (ringed), dressed casually in a blue T-shirt. He carries an AK-47 and does not appear to be wearing body armour. He is only a few feet from the open main door and looking directly at the CCTV camera. The tension is almost unbearable
9.34 and 41secs.
The gunman slows and stops. He looks left and right. He is framed by the open door. But he has seen something that causes him to halt. It is the two young women hiding under the table.
9.34 and 42-44secs.
The gunman turned through 90 degrees. His AK-47 is lifted to his shoulder and the barrel is aimed downwards at something or someone who is obscured by the wooden door frame. In fact the gun is inches from the head of a 40-year-old woman who had come for a pizza and a glass of vin blanc. Face down, she can only see a pair of shoes.
She does not know who they belong to but does not dare lift her face to properly look. The CCTV footage shows the gunman take two steps forward and aim again.
The woman hears what she later described as a click, click, click sound. She does not realise at that moment when her life hangs by a thread that it is the sound of her would-be executioner's weapon either misfiring or out of ammunition.

9.34 and 45-47secs.
Suddenly the gunman looks away, into the street. His rifle is swung up. Perhaps a colleague has called out to him because he begins to walk away from the door.
There is another flash on the CCTV footage which suggests a bullet or ricochet from another shooter has entered the restaurant. Jasmine risks crawling to the end of the bar and peeking round. She then crawls back to the other woman.

Into the getaway car: The gunman gets into the Black Seat hatchback that takes the killers to their next target, where another 19 people will die
9.34 and 48-50secs.
Now another incredible moment. The CCTV footage shows first one then the other of the two female friends who had been sitting ducks at the feet of the jihadi on the terrace, emerge from under their 'hiding' places.
The first woman straightens, turns to look to see if the coast is clear, picks up her bag and runs. A few seconds later, the other woman does the same.

Another woman emerges from under the tables outside of the cafe as the gunman makes his getaway in a black SEAT
9.34 and 58secs.
The CCTV shows the headlights of an approaching car. It is the black SEAT hatchback which belongs to the IS team. It has picked up at least one gunman and is about to take them to their next target.
9.35pm.
The SEAT passes the pizzeria and can be seen through the window of the side door. Exactly 51 seconds have elapsed since the first bullets were fired. The immediate danger is over but the survivors do not know it.
9.35 and 2secs.
One of the women under the mirror tentatively raises her head to see if it is safe.
9.35 and 6secs.
Jasmine and the woman take their chance and scuttle from behind the bar and down the stairs to the cellar.
There is then nearly 15 seconds of stillness, both in the street and outside. It is extraordinarily eerie; a moment of muttered prayers, racing hearts and listening for any sound that might indicate the proximity of the jihadis. The firing has stopped but is this just a lull or the end of the massacre? Watching the footage, we know that people only a few feet away outside are either dead or dying, unattended.
9.35 and 27secs.
Now, another extraordinary moment. A man can be seen through the window of the side door. He looks into the pizzeria and keeps walking. Now he is approaching the main door. He comes inside. He is looking for one of the women. He does not yet realise he is wounded in the arm but he has returned to face the gunman and rescue his girlfriend, whom he thinks they might have kidnapped. He walks with purpose, he is very brave. He is only slightly injured because a metal framed menu stand stopped four of the bullets aimed at their table.
9.35 and 36secs-9.37pm.
First the boyfriend looks in the cellar, where he will find his girlfriend. He emerges with Samir, who looks horror stricken. The barman gives a little jump of anguish and helplessness when he sees what has happened to his restaurant. The man then goes upstairs and finds his friend. The men then begin to help the four customers who have been hiding in the main restaurant. They are led to safety in the cellar, where Jasmine and the other woman remain.
Samir is scurrying about while typing into his phone to call for help. He holds the phone up to his ear as we walks out of the premises. A man, wearing a cap and holding and Adidas bag comes into the cafe, puts the back on the ground and runs out onto the street. While the man was in the cafe, two people can be seen running up the street. After he leaves another person runs sprints away, before a man in a dark jacket walks more calmly past the restaurant.
Their ordeal is over.
