And its the weekend too!   So this weekend Do something nice for YOU with Us! 🛌 Take a break – Give yourself permission to relax and do something you enjoy, whether it’s reading a book, going for a walk, or watching your favorite show. 💖 Practice self-compassion – Treat yourself with kindness, especially when things don’t go as planned. Remind yourself that it’s okay to make mistakes and learn from them. 🥗 Eat something nourishing – Prepare a meal that makes you feel good, both physically and emotionally. Enjoy the process and savor every bite. ⛔ Unplug for a while – Disconnect from your phone or social media and give your mind a break. Focus on being present in the moment without distractions. 💃 Celebrate small wins – Acknowledge the little accomplishments in your day. I've just returned from a fantastic two-week trip to Australia and New Zealand where I presented at two Fundraising Nest events and the Educate Plus conference. I could only make this trip thanks to the support of Rogare - The Fundraising Think Tank associate member Giving Architects . Unfortunately, I've come home with something that honks like Covid and goose-steps like Covid so very possibly and quite probably IS Covid. It's laid me really low, which means I've not been able to follow up on any of the connections I made or post any insights about the trip. I will do this when I am feeling better, but TBH that might not be for another few days. I had an amazing time at the Fundraising Nest Nest Fest last Thursday and Friday 🐤 It was an absolute treat to go to a masterclass by Lynne Wester, as I am a big fan of her podcast "Fundraising is Funny", which she does with T. Clay Buck (you should go take a listen 👀 ) Across the two days, I genuinely had lots of fun and learnt so much - I have pages and pages of notes to write up and so much to process and reflect on in terms of what changes can be made in our fundraising at Parenting Place. Plus, plenty to reflect on in regards to the charity sector in general after watching the 'UnCharitable' movie! Big thanks to Michelle Berriman for being a fantastic organiser, for all the international speakers for making their way here to Aotearoa, John Henton and Parachute for hosting the movie screening, and for Kellie Gaudin for being my Nest Fest buddy 💓 P.S.
