Sun rays generally don’t converge to a certain “point” per-se. Instead, light rays are released from the Sun’s spherical surface in all directions.  The intensity of light rays is inversely proportional to the distance you are away from the Sun squared.  Makes sense; the Sun will appear more dim the further away you are from it.
