Courchevel, France
Cheval Blanc Courchevel
Luxury on High
What it is
An ultra-pampering chalet with a three Michelin-starred restaurant, Guerlain spa and hammam, indoor infinity pool under a ceiling of sparkling stars, and so much more.
What it isn't
Boring. This is hardly a ski holiday as usual, with the hotel Ambassadeurs whipping up joy at every turn and adventures like dog sledding and woodland meditation on offer.
What we think
Courchevel 1850 is already tough to beat, yet Cheval Blanc Courchevel takes it to another level entirely. Even the “starting” Superior Room is expansive at a sprawling 430 square feet, and equipped with pampering amenities that range from a hammam shower with chromotherapy to a private terrace that peers out on the alpine landscape. Want to indulge? The two story Duplex Suite is a ginormous 807 square feet and fitted with a library, snaking staircase, terrace and separate living room perfect for après-ski cocktails. Don’t miss at least one night by the roaring outdoor bonfires at La Terrasse de Cheval Blanc; there’s no better slopeside spot for a drink…and a scene.
You're here because
The spa is just what the ski doctor ordered, with its Russian banya, dreamy infinity pool flanked by “trees,” ice fountain, sauna and hammam, and team of Guerlain beauty pros.
The Moment
At three Michelin-starred Le 1947 à Cheval Blanc, you have to pinch yourself. Every dish is too beautiful—it doesn’t even seem possible. But that’s just daily life—here at Cheval Blanc.
