About the Technics SL-1300G
A lasting legacy
A lasting legacy
For over 50 years, Technics has been at the heart of the turntable game, delivering innovative, cutting-edge models that still turn heads today. And the SL-1300G? It's no different. This beauty takes motor precision to a whole new level, thanks to the addition of the ΔΣ-Drive motor control technology. Delta Sigma Drive fine-tunes the voltage and current to the motor, delivering the perfect driving sine-wave signal, minimizing noise, vibrations, and wasted energy for smoother, quieter, and more efficient performance. This innovative technology results in killer sound and incredible accuracy.
Vibe less, enjoy more
Don't let the sleek, minimalist look of the SL-1300G fool you — this turntable is a beast under the hood. Its multi-layered chassis, made from die-cast aluminum and BMC (Bulk Molding Compound), is built like a fortress, shaking off any unwanted vibrations with ease. Technics cranked things up even more with a thicker, sturdier platter—crafted from three layers of rubber-covered brass and aluminum — for next-level vibration damping. They also added a smart rib structure between the motor and tonearm to keep motor vibrations far away from where they matter most. And those insulator feet? They block out external vibrations like a pro, so your music stays as pristine as ever. The result? Crystal-clear sound that hits all the right notes.
Technics' new eco-friendly packaging is crafted from sturdy, corrugated cardboard, completely eliminating the use of Styrofoam.
The S-shaped aluminum tonearm is another highlight, featuring a gimbal assembly and high-precision bearings that catch every tiny detail. Just pop on your favorite cartridge, and you're ready to rock. Technics even includes a handy overhang guage to make installing that cartridge a breeze.
Eco-friendly packaging
Technics' commitment to longevity extends beyond their technology — they're also focused on a lasting planet with innovative eco-friendly packaging. By swapping out styrene foam for corrugated cardboard, they've cut plastic use by about 70%, helping to fight marine plastic pollution and other environmental issues. Plus, they've made things more convenient by combining accessories into one box, all while keeping the cushioning strong enough to handle the turntable's weight.
