The Beosound A5 is absolutely stunning in every way. The design esthetic is gorgeous and the sound blows me away with each and every song I throw at it. I listen to a lot of instrumental, jazz, lo-fi, alternative, electronic music and the speaker is so crisp with a powerful low end to help give warmth and body when listening. While the speaker sits on the counter plugged in mostly, the fact that the speaker can be portable is an added bonus. And boy can this speaker get loud! The build quality is also impeccable, as is everything I’ve purchased from B&O.
The only issue I ran into initially was getting the speaker to connect to the B&O app and synced up with Apple HomeKit. After a quick and easy factory reset of the speaker, everything synced right up and I was on my way enjoying hours of beautifully crafted music.

I’m traveling for work for 6 months and couldn’t be without HiFi. After much research I decided to purchase 2 Bang A5’s to run in stereo. I purchased 2 hard cases designed for the A5 here on Amazon to protect the speakers through airport travel. Together they take up half a suitcase, but for the audiophile who needs portable HiFi stereo they are well worth it. Clarity, tonal accuracy, crisp vocals, tight bass, imaging, soundstage, all the apex for portable speakers. The Bang app for iOS has a multitude of settings for fine tuning the desired sound. I appreciate the setup process in the app, very refined, thought out, and professional. Ease of use 10/10. Putting them in stereo pair is easy. Adjusting bitrate from high quality 1mb/s compressed to 2.2mb/s uncompressed is a noticeable improvement, and a must. Also, the app can tune your speakers to your listening position. I’m using small Isoacoustic pucks under the speakers, highly recommended. After getting it dialed in my ears are in sonic heaven. To have portable HiFi like this is a marvel to modern technology and thank you Bang & Olufsen for creating an incredible product to bless my soul, I’m truly listening to Qobuz in sonic heaven.Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2023
