Misuse of {{FoP-Japan}}: these are not architecture.(!) Japanese FOP is noncommercial only for non-architecture works (sculptures, murals, etc.), still under sculptors', muralists', or other artists' copyrights. But Commons forbids noncommercial licensing.

@JWilz12345: Here are my thoughts:
 Delete File:Speybank by Luc Deleu.jpg, File:The Statue of Liberty in Momoisi-Oirase Aomori Japan.jpg - Clearly copyrighted artistic works.
 Unsure File:Onji-jinja Shinryu.jpg, File:Takebe Taisha daitoro.jpg - Copyright owners are unknown, and when they were installed are unknown.
 Keep File:US Navy 060208-N-1194D-003 Musician 2nd Class A.C. Smith, left, Musician 2nd Class Tommy Horner, center, and the rest of the 7th Fleet Band's big band Far East Edition perform for hundreds of spectators on a stage made entirely.jpg - The main object is the performers, the ice sculptures are incidentally included.

@JWilz12345: However, since File:US Navy 060208-N-1194D-003 Musician 2nd Class A.C. Smith, left, Musician 2nd Class Tommy Horner, center, and the rest of the 7th Fleet Band's big band Far East Edition perform for hundreds of spectators on a stage made entirely.jpg was taken by US Navy in Japan, I am not sure whether to apply Japanese de minimis clause or US de minimis clause. --Ox1997cow (talk) 07:50, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Ox1997cow: it can be cropped, but must be made as a new file instead of overwriting it, as such act may not conform to COM:OVERWRITE. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 10:27, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Also, regarding File:Takebe Taisha daitoro.jpg, here is the whole discussion from File talk:Takebe Taisha daitoro.jpg:

Indeed this is an artistic work. Definitely this is not a building. Laitr Keiows (talk) 15:16, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It'a very old Japanese lantern.I think no problem of copyright law.Sorry,my English is very poor.--KENPEI (talk) 16:06, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
How can we know if it old or non? Do you have a proof such as author name and his years of life? It may be about 30 years old, which means that it's author is still alive. There is only one exception in Commons:Freedom_of_Panorama#Japan for building, and this is not a building of any kind. Laitr Keiows (talk) 22:52, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
To me, this looks rather old. --Túrelio (talk) 08:38, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
According to the policy information given on the description page should be sufficient to allow others to verify the license status. Not enough information provided, and so there is a serious suspicion of a copyright violation, thus such image should be deleted. Laitr Keiows (talk) 09:52, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi,Laitr Keiows.Templete {{Fop-cv}} say Usage: This template should only be used for obvious cases. For non-obvious cases, use {{Delete}} and follow the instructions. .You should use {{Delete}}.--KENPEI (talk) 12:25, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I will. Thanks for the suggestion. Laitr Keiows (talk) 06:15, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

@JWilz12345: Anyway, in case File:US Navy 060208-N-1194D-003 Musician 2nd Class A.C. Smith, left, Musician 2nd Class Tommy Horner, center, and the rest of the 7th Fleet Band's big band Far East Edition perform for hundreds of spectators on a stage made entirely.jpg, which country's law applies, Japan or the United States? How would you compare Japanese de minimis clause with South Korean de minimis clause and US de minimis clause? South Korean de minimis clause uses incidental concept, and US de minimis clause uses trivial concept. Ox1997cow (talk) 11:45, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
