* – If there is an authorized Austronesian name, then use it; if not, use the Hakka name; Japanese name only adopted when the Japanese origin is obvious and no Austronesian name exists.

† – Sometimes I would adopt a non-POJ-ized term such as Namasia as a Taiwanese name instead of using the hanzi pronunciation, since the official hanzi 那瑪夏 was just a homophonic translation for Mandarin.
