Metallurgical Fire
All previous projects the members have been associated with guaranteed that the band would be solid. Yet, this is the first release from Construct of Lethe that I would call both essential and groundbreaking. Kevin Paradis even throws some jazz drumming in here for good measure. He really shines on this one. A very compelling death metal album for adults. Highest recommendation.

Taking into account their previous album, my expectations were very high... At first i was little bit disappointed, but gradually starting from 3rd track i've got what i desired, and even more. Amazing DM-centric stylistically diverse release, which i'm sure will end in AOTY lists of many of us. Technical, fiercely fast paced, with mind-benging solos, tempo changes, and unexpected twists and turns

This is dark, strange and very unsettling. Chaotic, technical and edgy death metal. Progressive with quite some ambient parts that seem to originate directly from a nightmarish netherworld. As intricate as this may appear from reading this as fascinating the result is. Certainly not for everyone but this greatly fits the TO roster of 2024.
Favorite track: Bete Noir.

More people need to know about this amazing band. Blazing fast death metal (with a bit of dissonance) and blistering guitar solos. I pre-ordered this one so fast, judging by their past albums.

Construct of Lethe have created a deeply personal, autobiographical concept album dealing with suicidal depression which is meant to be listened to seamlessly as a single song. They've transcended the death metal confines on this album to achieve the kind of expression that encompasses a wide range of emotions and to that extent they've borrowed influences of other styles such as industrial, black metal, doom metal, ambient, etc. and even used synth and electronics to achieve that. The album traverses various dimensions while remaining coherent as well as cohesive, with the writing always coming off as intuitive, flowing naturally and never forced. As the battle rages on with the inner voice coming to terms with the persisting life, one can experience the undulating highs and lows via the music, and more often than not, following moments of bleakness, there's an epic, cathartic outcome as if by way of an epiphany. The upbeat sections replete with the Morbid Angel-esque riffing make an appearance too along with the flurry of leads which the band have perfected over the years. All in all, it's a rich, varied and unique album that needs to be treated differently. It's meant not just to be heard but to be experienced.
