This album is more than a passion project. It’s much more like one of those cornerstone moments you face as an artist when a strong idea comes to you and just won’t leave you alone until you execute it in its entirety.

Gotta Start Somewhere is an allegory about a young man (the vision/thought) deciphering how to go about changing the world while in pursuit of the woman (proper feeling/emotion) who can help materialize the goal in reality (making it to the promised land internally). In the end he is reminded that the decision itself is matters first. In life we face many different obstacles. The most powerful response to anything is decisiveness. Making a decision implies there’s an intention and with intention you’ve won half the battle. The other half is the follow through. Reaching the goal you see for yourself isn’t promised but the commitment to the process makes overall success inevitable.

The title itself is a philosophy that I’ve adopted recently to allow myself the space to go out and explore without overthinking or overwhelming myself with the need to produce the grand vision I have for my entire life out of thin air, as if it were to instantly fall into my lap like some overnight fairytale movie. Gotta Start Somewhere gave me the permission to step foot into the vast unknown with confidence, as if I already know what’s promised for me is present and all I have to do is decide to move; so that’s exactly what I’m doing. The intention is to encourage and empower each listener with vibrations that allow you to continue being yourself to the fullest and make the moves you know you need to make despite any obstacles.

Each track correlates with a different celestial body (planet, asteroid or object) as their combined effort lead to the beginning of a new era. Side A (tracks 1-9) focuses on the 1st-6th houses being developed (Day time, Expression, The accumulation and exertion of will power, Forward motion, etc.) while Side B (tracks 10-18) represents the 7th-12th houses being developed (Night time, reflection, emotional reconciliation, healing, maturity, transformation, etc).
