We are a Wiki Project Group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Kayaking, Kayaks, Canoeing, and Canoes.

- Increase membership of editors interested in kayaking and canoeing in all its forms.
- Improve the accuracy and quality of all kayaking and canoeing articles.
- Develop the collection of kayaking and canoeing images on Wikimedia Commons.
- Improve and create kayaking and canoeing related templates.
The Canoeing and Kayaking WikiProject concerns the creation, development, and organisation of all Wikipedia's articles about kayaks, kayaking, canoes and canoeing (including biographies) of famous kayakers and canoeists. This means all articles that could somehow relate to kayaking, or canoeing, including but not limited to:
- Equipment
- Disciplines
- Boats
- Notable kayakers or canoeists
- The new Outline of canoeing and kayaking has now been started – have a look and see what you can add
- Suggestion of an 'interview' about the Wikiproject has been posted on the Signpost Newsroom WikiProject desk – watch this space for updates

editWhen editing articles, please keep in mind that this is an encyclopedia. If you have not already done so please check out the neutral point of view guidelines. We would like all user contributions to be factual (and have citations where possible). Please use common sense when editing articles. If you see pages that are in need of further work, please feel free to add them to the todo list.

- Playboating, creeking, ocean surfing Modern plastic/CF boats and their progression from hand made fiberglass to plastic and beyond. Progression of paddlers skills, gear, gumption...The Germans have a stub article.
- Percy W Blandford: designer of the PBK; his designs and books popularised kayaking in Britain and worldwide in the post-WWII period.
- Brácsa-sport
- Sit-on kayak
