Mencia talk vandalism

edit

Thank you for your continued contributions to wikipedia and the Carlos Mencia page. In regards to a recent comment you made under the IP address 66.215.18.54, archived here, you should be made aware of a wikipedia policy called "No Personal Attacks." While the edit in question is not an overt attack, it makes accusations without justification, and goes on to attempt to insult a large group of potential contributors. Emoticon or no, this is not acceptable. As a result, I have removed your comment from the talk page. Please be aware that any future attacks along this line can result in a ban from editing. Felipe Pinglo Alva

edit

Great job for creating the article on Felipe Pinglo Alva, I have nominated it for the "Did You Know" category on the front page. I'm thinking of creating an article for the Peruvian vals but I'm not sure what name it should go under: Vals (Peruvian), or Vals criollo. Any thoughts? - AKeen 03:38, 30 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article Felipe Pinglo Alva, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

¿Q-vo Pozole? Some of us are putting together a Wikiproject on Mexican-American and Chicano topics in which you may be interested. Please see the discussion on my talkpage. Paz, Rockero 18:07, 8 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Actually, the discussion I was referring to was further down the page. But now we actually have a project page at Wikipedia:WikiProject La Raza. I'll also be moving the content of the discussion on my talk page either there or to the project talkpage. Feel free to sign up under participants. Joaquin and I waiting for some of the other participants to respond, but I guess then we'll organize a bit more: the scope of the project, goals, etc. I was also thinking it might help to know each others' backgrounds a bit, so I'll bring that up to. It's good to have another soul on board.--Rockero 02:42, 12 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Magu2.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Jusjih 01:47, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Panettone

edit

Hello,

I realise it was a long time ago, but I'm interested in an edit you made to panettone on 9 December 2005. You added the remark that there is a "recipe in a contemporary recipe book written by Bartolomeo Scappi, personal chef to popes and emperors during the time of Charles V." Do you know where in Scappi's book this is? There are many references on the web to this recipe being in the Opera (1570) but they all seem to lead back to the comment you added to the article.

I've been trying to find Scappi's recipe, but haven't had much luck. I spent three hours looking through the Opera today in my university's rare books collection, but the most I've managed to find is a reference to "tortiglioni alla Lombarda, fatti con butiro" on page 270. Unfortunately, this comes in the part of the book which is just menus, and doesn't give recipes. I can't seem to find the recipe elsewhere in the book. Could you shed some light on this situation?

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Florez3.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Florez3.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:36, 5 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Jason Itkin

edit

The article Jason Itkin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

References do not establish notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hairhorn (talk) 18:56, 1 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Pozole pinglo.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Pozole pinglo.jpg. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box.
