DVD extras
[edit]What information from the Something, Something, Something, Darkside DVD extras can be put in this article? 96.18.102.128 (talk) 02:36, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
DVD release
[edit]The artical details the DVD release for regions 1 and 4. Is there no planned release for the European market (Region 2) Greneath (talk) 13:25, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
- Information has yet to be released in regards to Region 2. Once that info becomes available, it will be added to the article. Presumably though, it will be released in Region 2. Gage (talk) 19:32, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
More
[edit]The episode has already been released, I've already seen it. Someone needs to do the plot synopsis already —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.77.37.13 (talk) 07:59, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- Go for it...I'd do it, but haven't seen it. CTJF83 chat 08:26, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
I can cofirm that this has been leaked to video streaming sites. Mnealon (talk) 03:56, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
- The problem is, leaks are not notable unless something drastic happens after (example- if the release date of the DVD is moved forward due to the leak). Things leak all the time anymore. Unless something notable happens because of the leak, the leak itself isn't notable. --HELLØ ŦHERE 12:33, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Unsourced material on Cultural References
[edit]There is going to be no third party source, so you may as well remove the list. All the articles that have this will never have any acceptable resources, so a mass cleanup may as well be declared. LReyome254 (talk) 22:11, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- Well reviews and DVD commentary usually contain sources, so we should wait a bit to see what comes of both. CTJF83 chat 02:04, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- I went ahead and removed it. Shows that reference pop culture such as Family Guy generally provide much fodder for such lists of trivia. I'm not sure of the importance of including such a list if it's going to outweigh the plot and production sections. WikiuserNI (talk) 22:52, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
- Just like you always do, WikiuserNI. Sorry officer, this is not your private patrol area. We'll go with Ctjf83's suggestion, as it seems to reflect a more rational consensus. Hearfourmewesique (talk) 14:45, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
- If anyone is claiming ownership of this article, it's not me. In the six odd months that the cultural references section has been tagged, nothing has been done to address the reasons for them being added. I think it's safe to say that the material is either trivial or cannot be cited. WikiuserNI (talk) 00:21, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

DVD + Digital Copy
[edit]Should some mention be made in the article that the Digital Copy disc from the Blu-ray release also functions as a DVD? All the packaging mentions is the Digital Copy, and even in the trilogy boxed set I couldn't find any mention of a DVD version. The only indication is that the Digital Copy disc is labeled "DVD + Digital Copy" whereas the extra discs for the other two titles simply say "Digital Copy". When inserted into a computer drive, it mounts as two separate volumes, but since there is a complete VIDEO_TS folder containing the film in standard DVD format, it can be played in standalone DVD players as well, unlike the Digital Copy discs from the other two titles. There is even a DVD-ROM folder that contains a separate .wmv file (with DRM).
One other note is that the digital copy is only 480p, which may be a bit of a disappointment to owners of AppleTV boxes or those who watch movies on their computer screen, because both are capable of at least 720p. They must be using the same file for the Digital Copy discs in both the DVD and Blu-ray releases.
Can someone please add whatever information is deemed relevant to the article? Much appreciated. MaxVolume (talk) 06:36, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
Broadcast cut vs. DVD cut
[edit]Should we mention the differences between the broadcast cut and the DVD release, because I've noticed a few. For example, the cameos for Patrick Stewart and Michael Dorn during the battle at the Death Star do not appear in the broadcast version, nor does the Conway Twitty cutaway. 24.14.177.134 (talk) 23:23, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
- Probably not. That's what we call trivia unless it receives significant coverage in reliable sources. DP76764 (Talk) 23:43, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
Reception?
[edit]How is there not a section for this episode's reception? --Matt723star (talk) 17:40, 25 August 2013 (UTC)

Whatever....
[edit]"It's a trap!" was uttered by Sam Gamgee in the novel "The Lord of the Rings" when he realizes that Gollum has led them into the clutches of Shelob.
If there are earlier literary or cinematic uses of the phrase, I am not aware of any. The lengthy Star Wars plot description in this article should be made shorter. Wastrel Way (talk) 01:20, 7 July 2020 (UTC) Eric
