Applying NetDevOps practices.  During this event we will define what NetDevOps is, talk about its different components (including dedicating time for hands-on learning), and discuss the cultural changes we see in customers who have migrated to these practices.  Obviously, all of these concepts will focus on how to apply those practices on AWS. I see a post about using Dynamo properly, I repost it. Having read Alex DeBrie’s book several years ago and spending time with Dynamo geniuses like Chris Gillespie I realised how much I didn’t know about using it properly! Honestly, invest the time. The biggest mistake customers make when using Dynamo is treating or hacking it together like a relational DB. The service is good enough that at low scale you won’t see too much dis benefit… but when you scale your use 💸 cost and ⚡️performance will suffer. You won’t regret learning how to use it properly.

In this video we will discuss a situation that might happen to you specially when you are migrating information from one table to another, even if your data is very well distributed in the source table and you might have no problem at all, during the migration process if you write the data exactly in the same order that was read from the source table you might limit yourself to 1K writes per second.
