JDMP i have to express my shear excitement at this record. victory over the sun, a hometown favorite of mine, absolutely killed it on this microtonal masterpiece of black metal. and then to have fiadh press it on vinyl??? i can now have the full experience.

This Friday, Fiadh will release a vinyl version of Portland-based avant-garde black metal project Victory Over the Sun’s latest full-length, ‘Dance You Monster To My Soft Song!’

This is the sequel to 2021’s critically acclaimed Nowherer, following in the footsteps of Jute Gyte and Kayo Dot on a brilliant level of musicianship that quite literally takes flight throughout the album. Vivian, the creative impetus behind VOTS, is much more than just “a girl who makes noise” - she’s your sole guide on this innovative, dizzying, absolutely surprising, and ultimately delightful journey.
