GenderSAFE
Études/recherche
EU-funded project promoting comprehensive policies to end gender-based violence in academia & research
À propos
UniSAFE has finalised its mission: generating new insights on gender-based violence in universities and research organisations, developing recommendations and operational tools for institutions to address GBV. Starting March 2024 the GenderSAFE project, funded by the European Union, builds on the outputs developed by #UniSAFE and takes the work a step further by promoting comprehensive policies to end GBV in universities and research organisations and establish safe, inclusive, and respectful environments. Its strategy includes capacity-building, mutual learning and exchange, setting up instruments to monitor institutional policies and promoting policy uptake by national authorities and research funding organisations.

📢 Join us for "Embedding inclusivity in communication: the power of words and visuals." webinar! 🗓️ Date & Time: 18 November, 11:00 – 12:15 CEST | Online via ZOOM. Whether through the words we write or the visuals we choose, how we communicate can reinforce societal norms or reshape them to be more inclusive. Communication, therefore, becomes a crucial tool in either reinforcing or challenging stereotypes and inequalities. Systemic embedment of inclusive communication practices ensures that diverse perspectives are represented, creating an environment where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued thus creating a larger impact. Don't miss the opportunity to explore recommendations on how to embed inclusive communication, taking into consideration inequalities based on gender, abilities and age, while navigating different cultural contexts. Speakers will share insights on: ** Gender-sensitive communication: Elena Karachaliou, RESET I Redesigning Equality and Scientific Excellence Together ** Intercultural communication: Ines Azaiez, SUPPORTER PROJECT ** Accessible communication for people with disabilities: Chiara Gunella, GreenSCENT Project & ClearClimateProject and ALFIE project. Target Audience: Communication officers, researchers, and partners in EU-funded projects. 🔗 Register now: https://lnkd.in/ey6ZUkpm This webinar is hosted by SUPPORTER as part of a series organised by a group of EU-funded projects (AGRIGEP, NEXUS, BUDGET-IT, SUPPORTER PROJECT, Stream IT, GenderSAFE).

According to the UniSAFE survey, #GenderBasedViolence affects over 60% of staff and students across European higher education and research institutions. Many cases go unreported, and policies are often deemed ineffective. It's time for institutions to step up. ✍️ Sign the pledge for Zero Tolerance to commit your organisation to align with the EU’s Zero-Tolerance Code of Conduct. Help shape the future of a #ERA free from gender-based violence: https://lnkd.in/ejRx_cQY

The term ‘professional boundaries’ denotes appropriate standards of behaviour by working professionals. However, a shared understanding of appropriate boundaries is often lacking in higher education. Join us on 14 November to hear Dr. Anna Bull introduce key points relating to professional boundaries in academic settings, followed by the discussion of an anonymised case study of boundary-blurring behaviours. 🔗 Registration: https://lnkd.in/eT7nkTWU
