Artificial Intelligence is THE game-changer for the automotive industry! Whether it's to boost technology performance, R&D, shorten development cycles, or improve industrial performance, everyone is talking about AI at the Paris Motor Show. Romain Bruniaux, Valeo Group Industrial VP, took part in a round-table discussion entitled “Industry of the future: how is AI transforming automotive manufacturing and supply chains?” alongside Steve Basra from Google Cloud and Henry Bzeih from Ampère. Romain pointed out that beyond integrating it into our technologies, “AI is drastically improving our industrial processes by enabling: ➡️Substantial energy savings, with up to 20% gains already observed on certain production lines;  ➡️A significant improvement in quality thanks to the identification of critical parameters, and already seeing a reduction of up to 40% in rejection rates;  ➡️Predictive maintenance to prevent breakdowns on our production lines. We've been able to experiment with the potential of AI in our industrial processes, and now the challenge is to deploy it in our 150-plus plants worldwide.” Let’s do this!

Just like your smartphone.” 📱🚗📱🚗 During a keynote at the Paris Automotive Summit, part of the Mondial de l’Auto - Paris, our CEO Christophe Périllat highlighted how software-defined vehicles will forever change our relationship with the car, reminding us that this technological revolution requires a collective shift involving an entire ecosystem.

Onward and upward in the circular economy! ♻️ As revealed by Mino Yamamoto, our Circular Economy Director, during a talk at the Paris Motor Show, we innovate to cover the full lifecycle with our entire value chain: ✅ We have developed the world’s first HVAC housing made of 100% recycled polymer, in partnership with Renault Group and Total Energies! ✅ We electrify mobility by preserving natural resources with partners: We’re co-developing with MAHLE a magnet-free e-motor for upper segment that will reduce carbon emissions by over 40% compared to an equivalent permanent magnet motor. First prototype tested by the end of the year. ✅We retain the value of end-of-life parts by expanding their lifespan: We will remanufacture the high-voltage inverter for the electric Renault Zoe while The Remakers, part of THE FUTURE IS NEUTRAL, will integrate it into a reconditioned charger. This will save 80% of new natural resources and will reduce CO2 emissions by 50% compared to a new one. Project to start next year. Of course, the circular economy goes well beyond the automotive sector! For those who use the electric Vélib’ bikes in the Paris region, did you know that we are in charge of remanufacturing their motors and batteries in collaboration with Smovengo? 🚲
