The GitHub Copilot extension for Teams Toolkit (@teamsapp) simplifies Teams app development and enables customization of Microsoft 365 Copilot with chat features. It support some key development scenarios that developers used to refer to many documents.

User is a part of organization with GitHub Copilot license
Installation, Sign-in & Auth
This copilot extension is in public preview.
- Sign into GitHub with the account you want to link.
- Click the Install button.
- Go through authorization flow.
- Use @teamsapp in the GitHub Copilot chat interface available in multiple locations, e.g., GitHub.com, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, etc.
Notes:
- If you've already logged into GitHub Copilot Chat in your IDE before, please restart the IDE after installation to enable the @teamsapp.
