I am sharing the chain of mails which I have written till now, The first mail was sent on Feb 19, 2024, 12:17  "CAR No. - MP40CA9140 - SKODA SUPERB L&K (Top Model) Insurance Policy Number.:1422003122P110716884 The Case I submitted my vehicle to the service center of Jagdish Motocorp Bhopal on 30/12/2023. The service team was good and they delivered it back on 20/01/2024(a little late) They asked me to pay INR 19,471.00 as everything is not covered under my insurance policy, so for the difference payment should be made. I paid the amount. They said that whatever will be the difference we will return it. As per my last conversation, they are saying insurance company has not informed the service center about the charges yet, so they have not prepared the DO. It's been a month since I paid the amount and yet I have not received any bill for it. No proper communication is there. My Contact Info- 7566797540" To which the manager replied "Dear. Mr.Harshit Raj Chaudhary, Good Afternoon !   Greetings from Skoda Auto Bhopal (JAGDISH MOTOCORP PVT.LTD.)! We regret that your expectations were not met with respect to your Excess Amount refund. As per our telephonic discussion with you Required information given to you. We will return your booking amount by Monday 26-02-2024.Also you agreed with us. For any queries or assistance please feel free to call or write at the undersigned.  Assuring you best of our services at all times !" To which I replied "Thank you for your response, I am more concerned about the particulars of bill. I look forward to the DO prepared by insurance company and the detailed bill for the same from your end. Regards" This was my reply and then there were series of phone calls in which they give various reasons for the delay in payment. very idiotic reasons such as i was on leave for 1 months and the manager has changed & so on. I have called the manager 9109142303 today at 10:44 and as expected she did not respond. I am still waiting for the Monday My friend suggested me to go to consumer forum but I am very fond of Skoda cars. I have been using skoda since 2010. Kindly help and do the needful.

Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations raises concerns over Inventory build and plan to reach out to SIAM What options do OEMS solve this problem ? Note : Views expressed are mine based on my research and experience in the past as a Business Manager who has seen field operation OEM and Dealership very minutely. Feel free to reach out to me if you have better solution to mine. Before we can look at options let's study the problem in depth. What's the Problem ? OEMs propose to increase Dealer Stock holding period currently at 2 months to 3 months of sale volume . I am sure OEMs have a good intention to garner more sales by making more products available to consumers as the festive season will begin in the next 2 months . However, the flip side is that dealerships need to look out for more investment in working capital and high interest costs . This can become fatal to the profitability of dealerships , finance allocation and in the past such high cost has led to dealership closure which is not good for industry too. So , should this idea be dropped ? May Yes or No , but it depends on market conditions .One solution may not help , but it's sure solution is needed !! What options can OEMs exercise : 1. Prepare Business case at the market or city level to see if this move will really benefit dealerships ? Doing this OEM can really get more confidence from FADA . Maybe it could be a hidden treasure beneath that no one has yet seen ? 2. Explore another way to still get the same result without increasing dealer stock . A better booking planning at dealership, sharing of future production forecast can help to mitigate and build strong consumer confidence It's better to provide consumer incentive than to drive costs. 3. Liquidation of dead inventory at dealership - better marketing, repositioning of products & price rationalization to ensure cars end up in the hands of customers rather than inventory . Cars on the road add value to economies, dealerships ,OEMs and consumers. 4. Upgrade sales logic to include retails and confirmed booking ( OEMs need to develop system of assurance in delivery ) so that additional 30 days inventory could also be treated as future sale , which will help to record sale or business forecast by OEMs This will prevent unnecessary build up of stocks instead OEMs & Dealership will have a fair idea of what sold from inventory and what is future sale from factory . I believe with all these solutions or implementation of some of them the interest burden could be reduced , and dealership can be made more profitable. I would like to end this note by saying "Auto Business is a marriage, it will succeed if both OEM and Dealer are happy !"
