Notably, India's job market witnessed distinctive trends like "quiet quits" and "layoffs." As we step into 2024, the evolving landscape highlights a delicate balance between employee well-being and productivity demands. The upcoming year is marked by a significant shift towards remote work, contract roles, and gig opportunities, reshaping the business environment. India's economic trajectory is on a growth spurt, set to make a substantial impact on the global stage by 2030. Key factors influencing job creation in India include economic expansion, demographic trends, skill enhancement, urban development, outsourcing practices, and globalization. Despite these positive indicators, challenges such as high unemployment rates, youth joblessness, skill mismatches, and a dearth of quality employment persist. The job market in India has seen over 35,000 startup job losses in the past two years, with projections indicating further cuts in 2024. The talent acquisition sector is also experiencing rapid transformations, necessitating organizational flexibility to meet evolving candidate expectations and technological advancements. Amidst these dynamics, the United Nations projects India's growth at 6.2% in 2024. As leadership, our intent and our conversations should depict fundamental sincerety. Absolutely. They should come from a place of goodness. We communiate through body language and tonality ~ 70%. Voluntarily and intentfully our engagements, conversations, discussions, disagreements, dissents should come from a place of goodness. Goodness for the organization & the stakeholders involved. We are wired to sense it. We are emotional and we have very high sensory skills. If at any time, we are made to feel that the other person is looking for a zero-sum game; To win and other person to lose, its a fight from the get- go. Now whatever follows is extremly painful and crumbling for both sides, if thats the start of an engagement, we will never collaborate for the better. Its flawed by design. We will break. Leaders make intentful actions to ensure we win together. Not at the cost of the other. Never. Its not a model for success. While interviewing, some candidates try to say too much and go off-topic. Is this a good approach? It's better for you to share varied experiences and use diverse examples, but please focus on diving deep into one example to show your impact. Instead of giving 3-5 examples for each skill, choose one and dig deep. Concise and specific answers are powerful. An interview allows you to expand your resume and showcase your skills. Sometimes, less can be more.
