Maria (Anglice Mary) Stevenson Cassatt (Allegheny in urbe Pennsilvaniae, 22 Maii 1844[1] ; Château de Beaufresne, prope Lutetiam, 14 Iunii 1926) fuit pictor et fabricator impressionum Americana. Nata in Pennsilvania, sed vitam in Francia diutine degit, ubi Edgarum Degas in amicitiam recepit et tandem picturas inter Impressionistas exhibuit. Imagines vitarum socialium et privatarum mulierum saepe excogitabat, intimas matrum liberorumque copulas praesertim attingens. Alumna fuit Scholae Bellarum Artium Lutetiae et Academiae Bellarum Artium Pennsilvaniensis. A Gustavo Geffroy anno 1894 descripta est una ex "tribus dominis grandibus"[2] Impressionismi, cum Maria Bracquemond et Bertha Morisot.[3]
