    Travis Head smashed a counter-attacking century (100 off 115 balls) to rescue Australia from 75/3 against India on Day 2 of the third Test at the Gabba. He built a strong partnership with Steve Smith (64*), taking Australia to a commanding position after early strikes by Bumrah. Rain hampered play on Day 1, limiting Australia to 20/0 in 13.2 overs.

    Travis Head continued his great form by registering his ninth Test hundred in the third Test against India at GABBA, Brisbane on Sunday. The counter attacking century came of only 115 balls and was laced with 13 boundaries.

    He came to the crease when Australia were in a spot of bother at 75/3 and went on to forge an impressive unbroken partnership of 156 runs with Steve Smith, who is batting on 64 off 146 balls.


    India started the day on a good note with Jasprit Bumrah getting openers Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney in the first five overs of the day. Marnus Labuschagne's horror series continued as he managed only 12 runs before edging one off Nitish Kumar Reddy.

    However, Head came out with an attacking mindset, while Smith has held on to one end.

      At tea on Day 2, Australia were 234/3 in 20 overs.

      On Day 1, rain played spoil sport as only 13.2 over were bowled and Australia was 20/0.
