Selrisitai I'm ethically obligated to say that less compression would have been nice.
That said, this has less compression than 95% of the last decade's worth of metal releases. Credit where it's due.

The music? How about progressive metal with a city-pop smoothness, mixed with metal-core, mixed with punk-metal in the vein of Anberlin or Yellowcard?

Catchy melodies, complex guitar- and drum-work, gruff and clean male vocals and screw it, throw in some female vocals too.

Good in theory and in practice. Favorite track: Starling.
