Last May, we launched Clasico with ‘Touch’, an EP by Miami’s Coffintexts and our very first release. 17 months and five releases on, we’re back in business together.

Since releasing ‘Touch’ last year, Coffintexts’ star has only risen. She’s toured the world, her music’s been in rotation with everyone from Overmono and Mall Grab to Ben UFO and Pariah, and she’s fleshed out her catalogue in every direction: who else can say they’ve released on both Florentino’s Club Romantico and Chris Lake’s Black Book labels? This is real ‘girl who can do both’ shit.

This new release is the first in a pair of Coffintexts two-trackers scheduled for release on Clasico in the coming months. A-side ‘Todo Mi Cuerpo’ continues to hone and develop the musical language that Coffintexts has made her own in recent years: Latin percussion, pumping sub and dubby FX narrated by her own hypnotic vocals. B-side ’88 ST’ meanwhile takes things a little harder: it’s Coffintexts in her dark garage bag, womps and all. Atmospheric 2003 vibes on this one, in the best possible way.
