New material donated for the Historical Archive of the Province of Buenos Aires

Wikimedia Argentina sign an agreement with the historical archive of the province of Buenos Aires to upload part of it´s collections to Wikimedia Commons. In this opportunity we upload files refers to governments from the province of Buenos Aires. The images can be found in commons:Campaign:AHPBaires.

BA Edit-a-thon

13 and 14th of June WMAR participated of the BA Hackathon in the Auditory Buenos Aires. In this event we made a lecture of free culture, the Wikimedia World and the first steps in the edition. The second day we made an edit-a-thon and we work articles refer to Peruvian, Greek and Ecuatorian migration.

Edit-a-thon for young students

Wikimedia Argentina, Conectar Igualdad and the Museum of the Bicentenary had the first initiative to organize an edit-a-thon for young school students with the goal of writing articles about Independence day on Wikipedia. In two days, the event was attended by around 50 students who enjoyed exploring the heritage of the museum , finding sources and updating Wikipedia entries about it.
