about

Pere Ubu at CBGBs, March 3 1978. The live recording has been hidden in a cupboard until now. A note on the outside says 'I have 30 secs over Tokyo if you want it.' It would seem no one told him we wanted it, so it is, for now, lost. This may have been the day that New York minds fell in love with Pere Ubu. Notably, John Belushi was told to go along as David 'moves good for a big man.' If you couldn't be there, you can now. If you were there, we want to hear from you.
