I didn’t realize then how much this book changed my perspective on communication. Tailoring feedback helps build trust. 💡 High vs. low-context: Some cultures prefer explicit instructions, while others rely on context and implicit understanding. Are you looking for a job with relocation? This one mistake can cost an interview: You forgot to mention in the CV that you are open to relocation. Let me tell you why this is important. Let's say there's a process for a Unity Developer in Berlin. The ad clearly states that it's Berlin, and the work is hybrid. You apply, and there's info you're from another country. There's no information that you are ready to relocate. And there are 20-30 other applicants. (If we're talking small numbers). Possible outcomes: 1) The recruiter contacts you to ask if you want to relocate. If your profile seems like a match, it's likely to happen. If it's 50/50 and they have other people in the pipeline, they might move on to the other ones first, find someone local or with proper info, and simply not return. 2) The recruiter assumes you haven't read the ad and just auto-rejects. Neither is great for you, honestly. So, just be precise. If you're open to relocation, mention it in the CV. As always - don't leave room for assumption. You got this 💪

AI | Recent Funding News: 🚀 Proofs, an AI startup co-founded by Polish angel investor Bartek Pucek, successfully raises $2.6M in their pre-seed round. Proofs have created AI agents for proof-of-concept (POC) apps for companies like Salesforce, SAP, and Stripe. They're reducing the time and cost of developing POCs from months and hundreds of thousands of dollars to just minutes and a few hundred dollars. In wider news, generative AI startups have been securing significant funding. According to Dealroom, these startups have raised a record $620M so far this year. Noteworthy funding rounds include: Mistral AI: €105M raised by this French startup just four weeks post-launch. Synthesia: UK-based company raises $90M. DeepL: Secured €100M, achieving unicorn status. AI technology continues to show new ways to save time, reduce costs and expand what's possible.
