To make it nutritious, here’s a Thalipeeth recipe made with multi-grain flour that you can definitely try to make your morning more nutritious.

Multigrain Thalipeeth is a traditional Maharashtrian flatbread. It is made with a mixture of wholesome flours and spices. It is both healthy and delicious as a breakfast or snack option, full of nutrients and flavours!

1 cup multigrain flour (mix of jowar, bajra, rice, and wheat), 2 tbsp besan, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 1 zucchini, 2-3 green chillies, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 2 tbsp coriander, Salt to taste, Water as required.

To prepare this Thalipeeth, peel and finely chop onion. Next, wash and peel the carrot and grate it in a bowl. Afterwards, wash and peel zucchini and grate it as well in a bowl.

Now, take a large bowl and add all the flours, chopped & grated vegetables along with spices in a bowl. Gradually add water and knead into a soft, pliable dough. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Now, take a small portion of this dough and roll it into a ball. Flatten it between your palms, and using wet fingers, pat it into a round shape on a plastic sheet or butter paper.

Heat a griddle (tawa) and grease with a little oil. Put the flattened dough on the tawa and cook on a medium flame until golden brown on both sides.

Serve hot with a dollop of ghee, yoghurt, or spicy Garlic Chutney. Perfect for a hearty breakfast or light dinner!

You can add your favourite seasonal vegetables or leafy greens to make it even more nutritious. Experiment with spices for more flavours.
