  Licklash are a punk band from Melbourne/Naarm, Australia founded by Kahlia Parker & Carsten Bruhn in 2022.
  
  The project began to take shape in 2020, while Parker was struggling through not only COVID lockdowns, but also the disbandment of her first band, which she founded and fronted, the feminist punk act Girl Germs. With a lot of anger, a bunch of leftover songs, and a thirst for a new direction, she enlisted the help of her long-term partner, Bruhn (founder of the independent record label Roolette Records). The two soon forged a new, bigger, and bitier sound and put together a band to perform these carefully crafted fast and raw punk songs.
  
  Their debut EP 'Big Smile' was recorded at home and performed by just Parker and Bruhn on all instruments. Mixed and mastered by Bruhn, whose previous engineering credits include The Vovos, culte, and more, this DIY EP sounds anything but. The band has created a distinctive and lively sound on a shoestring budget
